We're a couple of minutes away, stalking outside the doors to Acer's event.
We're inside now. Some Michael Jackson is playing over the air and all the new stuff is already on the stage.
Two laptops and a monitor.
"Good afternoon and welcome." Welcome is Acer's theme for today's event.
This event will be recorded and played back for all of Acer's employees.
Here comes JT Wang, Chairman and CEO of Acer.
Dramatic pause as he adjusts his glasses.
Starting off with Acer's strategy shift.
"It's my pleasure to report that Acer is back to the right track."
"Bringing computing to the massive quantity of users in the world."
New tagline: Explore Beyond Limits.
"Computer users no longer use computers only. They use smartphones and tablets along with PCs."
"We decided to call those users the Modern Day Explorer."
Acer is creating tools for these modern day explorers.
"Users need help to solve the problems of closed devices and closed platforms."
"Strategically, we decided to create AcerCloud to help Acer device users who use the cloud on the go, at home, and in the office."
The new Explore Beyond Limits will be applied everywhere - in product launches and new announcements.
"The tagline fits well with our Olympics 2012 sponsorship," where athletes are said to be exploring beyond the limits of human performance.
"We strongly believe market share gain is a natural result of excellent performance in creating value to the users."
"Modern day explorers would like the freedom to choose devices from different platforms."
"AcerCloud is designed to answer this kind of requirement - to make it work well across form factors, across platforms."
New opportunities for Acer: ultrabooks, Acer Cloud, next-gen Windows, and more.
"The ultrabook is a mainstream train that cannot be stopped."
Acer sees Acer Cloud as its "strategic differentiator" for the long term.
"We see opportunity to add value to commercial segment in the near future."
"By Q2 this year, Acer will have four models of ultrabook."
"We already have Aspire S3, today you will see Aspire S5."
Timeline Ultra to follow, 15-inch and 14-inch models.
"When Windows 8 launches in the second half of this year, we'll launch more ultrabooks for the new OS."
Acer will look to expand its ultrabook offerings to cover all customer segments.
Acer Cloud is the company's first venture into cloud services. "We will make it very successful and sustainable."
No security issues, no reliability issues, promises JT Wang.
"The Acer Cloud is designed to help different devices communicate
even across closed platforms."
"We believe Microsoft will take care of Windows devices, we believe Google will take care of Google devices, and Acer will take care of the in-between."
